Seeing Mark after 6 months

Karel, het komt helemaal goed hier. Mark is een en al relaxed en we gaan leuke dingen doen samen. Nou jij nog :-)
Melinda, dankie vir die e-pos, so dit is 'n historiese moment. Daar is Rietveld's van oos na wes in die USA. Ek dink nie ons sal vir Bertie sien nie;-) maar ons stuur groete.
It's the 1st of march 2012 and I woke up long before seven o clock feeling fine. We went to bed at 23:30, well I did, Mark wanted to watch a Daily show. He went to bed 10 minutes later, he even asked me something but I was completely out.
At about 18:00 yesterday Mark came home, and it was very nice seeing him. He is looking good, lost lot's of weight and you can see he's been sporting. We had lot's to talk about and meanwhile we were packing the crockery, cutlery, chairs and whatever to take back to Arthur and Marleen. Arthur is Flipboard's Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and organizes the internships. They store the goods for the next students.
On our way to Arthur, with our ride, the "beast" Chevy Silverado we stop over at Flipboard. It was about 19:30 and the place was packet with people. It turned out that they were stressing to finish up for a French update launch that is going online at 21:00. There was food in the pantry and we had some. One of the lady's put Mark and me against a wall and took a picture. Later that evening Mark found the picture on the Flipboard Facebook page. We gave Geert his goodies to go climbing, he has been training a lot and is growing a beard.
We were supposed to be at Arthur and Marleen's place at about eight o clock and it was eight already. So Mark started the beast, turning the steering wheel looks like a touch gym activity and under the bonnet is moaning and groaning like a dog fight. But apart from that, it has a very solid feel to it. While we had coffee, brownie's, mint chocolates and other cookies Arthur and Marleen gave us some advice on our coming travels. At about nine o clock Arthur and Mark were checking their mobile devices to monitor the French update. We unloaded the stuff said goodbye and went back to the apartment.
We started the day by fetching a new tube for Mark's bicycle. After that he and Geert took their bicycles and went of to work. I had some breakfast and checked on our tour. Strolling on the internet added some nice features to the trip. I had lunch and went for a walk. At last the Californian sun presented itself and added to the joy of the walk. This must be sunny area because people grow oranges and lemons in their back yard.
Now I'm waiting for Mark to come and fetch me, we'll join in on a poker game at Flipboard.
