Rainy day in San Francisco

Our plan was to go to San Francisco, but first we had to make a stop at the local court to take care of police matters. Afterwards we found a cheap gas station, and hopped on to Highway 101 to San Francisco.

We had three goals to meet for the day: seeing Lombard Street, the Historic Cable car, and the Golden Gate bridge. On our way to Lombard Street we passed the Cable Car moving in the opposite direction. Two birds, one stone, because right after that we turned right onto Lombard Street. After zig-zagging down Lombard Street we found a parking spot to take a picture of the road Herbie came down.

For our next goal we got on the 101 again to cross the Golden Gate bridge. Before crossing the bridge road signs warned us about windy conditions. As we stopped at a vista point on the other side of the bridge we noticed that the wind warning was there for a reason. Despite the rain we tried to take some pictures.

We found some other vista points overlooking the bridge. We took some pictures, and then went to look for a place to get some coffee. We're posting this from the Sugarlump cafe. The coffee is nice, and the wifi is good.
